Labis ang excitement at paghahanda ng newly-crowned Miss Philippines Earth na si Janelle Tee sa nalalapit na Miss Earth 2019 pageant na gaganapin sa Legazpi City, Albay sa Oktubre.
Sa exclusive interview ng Star FM Baguio kay Janelle, matapos ang kanyang coronation noong nakaraang buwan ay todo na ang pag-eensayo niya kahit na hectic ang schedule nito.
“By the end of September, all the candidates from other countries are expected to arrive in the Philippines. We have less than 2 months or more than a month to prepare. It’s very soon and I’ve been really preparing. So we’re really very busy since every day din may event kami with Miss Philippines Earth, but I’ve squeezed in all the preparations. I go to the gym, I really train din in walking, Q and A, and I’m just so grateful I have a team behind me to really help me out to prepare for the competition,” ani Lee.
Inamin nito na matagal niya na talagang pangarap ang maging beauty pageant winner pero marami rin siyang mga naging takot sa pagsali muli dahil ilang beses din itong natalo noon.
“It is my second time to join the competition. Way back 2014, ‘yun yung first time ko to join. I ended up as a semi-finalist, and then the next year, I joined Miss World Philippines 2015, tapos semi-finalist ulit. And then I told myself that beauty pageants is not for me. May mga ‘what ifs’ ako. May mga regrets in life. What if I tried again? I never tried again because I was having that fear of losing, na baka hindi ako mananalo ulit, because I already tried several times, pero hindi talaga. I’m already 28 now. I decided na I will give it one final shot. Ayoko ng mag ‘what if’. Ayoko ng mag regret. Whatever the results may be, at least I know I won’t have ‘what ifs’ in my life anymore. Sobrang grateful din ako kasi I did not expect it, that a door will open up again. Parang God has always a way of surprising me,” dagdag ng 28-year-old na beauty queen.
May mensahe rin ito sa lahat ng mga Pilipinong sumusuporta sa kanya.
“Maraming-maraming salamat sa lahat ng mga taong walang sawang sumuporta at patuloy pa rin na sumusuporta sa akin. Sana, you’ll be with me in this journey, when I compete for Miss Earth. Because this is not just for me, this is for the entire Philippines. I’ll truly do my best in everything to best represent our country, so sana samahan niyo ako. I hope to see you all soon at Bicol.”
Si Janelle ay dating TV-host sa variety show at lumabas din ito sa ilang mga teleserye at pelikula.
