Lumago ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas sa 6.2 percent para third quarter ng 2019.
Batay sa government data, ang Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ng bansa mula noong Hulyo hanggang Setyembre ay mas mabilis pa kung ihahambing sa kaparehong data noong 2018.
Nahigitan din nito ang average growth para sa first half ng taon na mayroon lamang 5.5 percent.
Nananatili naman sa 6-7 percent economic growth ang inaasahan para sa pagtatapos ng taong 2019.
Positibo si Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin Diokno na maaabot ng Pilipinas ang target na antas ng ekonomiya, base sa kanilang mga nakikitang development.
“The Q3 GDP number exceeds the consensus forecast which indicate catch-up plan is working. The 6% full year GDP growth target is a tall order, after a slower than expected first half, but still doable. In any event, the Philippines growth performance this year is one of the fastest among relatively large economies, amidst a slowing global economy,” wika ni Diokno.
