Naniniwala si AFP Chief of Staff Gen.
” We are at the Armed Forces of the Philippines are optimistic, that the relationship of the Armed Forces of the Philippines with the military of the United States, will remain robust and strong.
The reason why I say this? Is because of the existence of several agreements, the MDT being one, Mutual Defense Treaty. And aside from that, we share a long history of a defense cooperation with the United States, we fought together during the World War II, they have continued to support us, against in our campaign against terrorism. Even again, now against the other treats that we are facing in the region, they still continue to support us.
And, aside from that, there were several statements that were given by U.S. official even prior to the elections stating that the United States, would continue to supports us in terms of the defense cooperation that we have. Regardless, of who wins the elections. So, we still very optimistic,” pahayag ni Gen. Brawner sa panayam ng Bombo Radyo.
