Lumagda sa isang Terms of Reference (TOR) ang Philippine Army (PA) at Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) para lalo pang palakasin ang relasyon ng dalawang armies.

Ang virtual signing ceremony ay pinangunahan nina Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner, Jr. at ROKA Chief of Staff Gen. Nam Yeongshin, kahapon, January 20, 2022.

Bago pa pirmahan ang TOR, binati muna ni Gen. Nam si Lt. Gen. Brawner sa kaniyang promotion.

Ayon kay Philippine Army Spokesperson Col. Xerxes Trinidad, ang PA-ROKA TOR ay isang Army-to-Army level collaboration na naaayon sa June 2018 Memorandum of Understanding sa pagitan ng Department of National Defense (DND) at South Korea’s Ministry of Defense.

Dagdag pa ni Col. Trinidad, sakop sa pinirmahang TOR ay ang mga sumusunod na areas of cooperation: Reciprocal Visits, Mutual Exchange of Army Related Insights and Information, Military Education and Training, Logistics and Maintenance, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, Military Medicine and Medical Support, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, Military Technology Cooperation, Research and Development, Military Sports and Cultural Activities, at iba pang areas of mutual interest.

Pinasalamatan din ni Lt. Gen. Brawner si Gen. Nam sa suporta nila sa Philippine Armt lalo na sa mga kagamitan.

”I have this hope that through this TOR, the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Korea will have an ironclad alliance that is ready to face security and defense challenges not only in our respective countries but as well as in the Indo-Pacific Region,” pahayag ni Lt.Gen. Brawner.
