Sasabak ang kauna-unahang Filipina athlete na lumahok sa Winter Universiade na si Misha Fabian sa nalalapit na Lake Placid 2023 International University Sports Federation (FISU) World University Games sa New York.
Sa exclusive interview ng Star FM Baguio sa Pinay figure skater, ibinahagi nito kung paano niya pinaghahandaan ang kompetisyon sa Estados Unidos at inilarawan din nito ang kanyang nararamdaman bilang kauna-unahang kinatawan ng bansa sa Winter Universiade.
“Honestly, it is a really big honor. I feel very humbled, kasi I was placed in that position and it is really a big blessing to be able to do that to represent the country, to represent my school and to be able to do what you love on the top of it. Sobrang nakaka-bless and sobrang nakaka-humble and I’m just really proud na I was able to do that. Syempre I will not be able to do that alone, and I have a great support system and all of this is possible because of them”.
Matatandaan na unang sumabak sa Winter Universiade si Misha noong 2019 sa Russia. Kamakailan lang ay nakapag-uwi din ito ng isang ginto at isang silver medal sa Skate Philippines Championship.
Ang Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games ay gaganapin sa Lake Placid, New York sa Enero ng susunod na taon.
