“I’m very happy to be part of the show. I didn’t really expect to get through to the next round. It was a complete surprise for me and my family. My parents physically got out of their seats and came over and hugged me once they heard my name and I was just in complete shock.”

“My dad told me this story when I was younger. We were going around shopping and I was actually singing a Beatles song and this old woman was really happy with me because I was singing a Beatles song. For songwriting, I only started songwriting a few months ago.”

“I actually do want to sing more original songs for the next round, and if I get to the next round after. It is true that it’s very risky to sing your own songs, but at the same time, it shows people that you are interested in songwriting and you’re not just singing other people’s songs, and it shows that you have a creative mind and you can make your own songs. To show people your own songs and show them that you have the guts to believe in yourself and the songs you have written and hope that people will like it— the music industry is a risk itself. You have to take risks.”

“My parents are actually very supportive of me and my music especially my dad. It really means a lot to me to get that kind of support from my family because I know that there are people whose family doesn’t support them when it comes to [their music] so I’m very grateful for that.”

“No one really knows how far in this competition I’ll get. I’m just really happy and grateful that I got through this round, and if I don’t get to the next round, I’ll make more music as I do because it’s what I like to do. So I don’t really know what I’d be doing if I wasn’t doing music. My life is music. I don’t know what else I want.”
