Tinapos na ng Senado ang plenary debates para sa panukalang P5.268 trillion budget sa taong 2023.
Dakong 1:41 nitong umaga ng Biyernes ng natapos na ng Senado ang debate para sa 2023 General Appropriation Bill.
Nagsimula ang plenary debate ng nasabing budget ay noong Nobyembre 8.
Pinakahuling inaprubrahan na ng Senado ang mga budgets ng mga sumusunod na departamento at ahensiya sa ilalim ng Senate version ng GAB gaya ng P26.154 billion ng Congress of the Philippines, P9.7 billion budget ng Philippine Statistics Authority, P24.665 billion budget ng Department of Science and Technology, P193.343 million budget ng National Commission on Senior Citizens, P35.463 billion budget ng Commission on Higher Education at P215.333 billion budget ng Department of Health.
Sa nagdaang anim na araw na plenary debates ay naaprubahan nila ang budget ng mga iba’t-ibang departamento base na rin sa Senate Finance committee report ng 2023 budget measure:

Susunod na hakbang ngayon ng Senado ay ipapakilala nila ang committee at ang mga amendments kung saan pagkatapos nito ay kanilang iaapruba sa ikalawa hanggang ikatlong pagbasa.
Dahil sa sinirtipikahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos na urgent ang GAB ay maaaring maaprubahan ng senado sa ikalawa at ikatlong pagbasa sa loob ng isang araw.
Magugunitang sinabi ni Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri na target nilang maipasa ang final reading ng proposed 2023 nationa budget ng hanggang Nobyembre 23 at kanilang raratipikahan ng katapusan ng buwan.
