Nag-deploy na raw ang Philippine National Police (PNP) ng disaster response units sa Northern Luzon areas habang papalapit pa sa Luzon ang Super Typhoon Henry na may international name na Hinnamnor.
Sa isang statement, sinabi ni PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. agad daw idineploy ang mga police disaster response units, personnel at equipment sa Ilocos at Cagayan Valley regions at ilang bahagi ng Cordillera para sa agarang aksiyon sa sandaling mayroong rerespondehang mga emergency.
Naka-preposition na rin daw ang government relief resources malapit sa mga lugar na na-designate bilang evacuation centers para sa posibleng relief operations sa mga lugar na may banta ng epekto ng naturang weather disturbance.
Samantala, ang PNP headquarters sa Camp Crame, Quezon City ay inactivate na rin ang kanilang Disaster Incident Management Task Group (DIMTG) na isang updated at enhanced plan of action sa disaster preparedness at response management bilang suporta sa iba pang concerned agencies.
Sinabi ni Azurin na ang DIMTG ay sumusuporta sa disaster risk reduction and management efforts ng gobyerno sa pamamagita ng PNP Critical Incident Management Operational Procedures (CIMOP).
Dagdag ng PNP chief, inalerto na rin ng DIMTG ang PNP disaster response-capable units gaya ng Special Action Force (SAF), Maritime Group (MG), Highway Patrol Group (HPG) at Police Community Affairs and Development Group (PCADG).
Binigyan na rin ng direktiba ang Regional Mobile Force Battalions (RMFB) at Provincial and City Mobile Force Companies (PMFC) na makipag-ugnayan sa mga local disaster risk reduction and management offices (DRRMOs) at local government units para sa posibleng pagpapatupad ng forced evacuation sa mga lugar na labis na maaapektuhan ng sama ng panahon kabilang na ang may banta ng storm surge, pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa.
Ang mga regional, provincial at city/municipal PNP units sa mga apektadong lugar ay inatasan namang panatilihin ang lahat ng mga national highways at major thoroughfares na clear sa mga obstructions at debris para hindi maantala ang pagbiyahe at pagdaan ng mga tropa, rescue units, emergency vehicles at relief supplies.
