ILOILO CITY – The Philippine National Police (PNP) laid down the contingency plan to counter the goons in Estancia, Iloilo.
The Chief of the Estancia Municipal Police Station, Police Major Niño Leonard Amar said that the contingency plan was presented to the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) after the accusation of two mayoralty candidates having their own goons.
In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo Iloilo, Major Amar reported that the investigation is still on going againsts the alledged goons hired by Mayor Rene Cordero and former mayor Melina Requinto.
Few days before election, police deployment has strengthened its visibility to maintain peace.
In addition, augmentation force from the Philippine Army are also visible in the area.
