The authorities arrested on Saturday the alleged lookout of Philippines’ top drug-queen Guia Gomez-Castro in Sampaloc, Manila.
The suspect was nabbed in Barangay 484, where Castro used to serve as a barangay chairperson. She also allegedy ran the illegal narcotic trade while Castro was still in the said position.
Police seized 4 plastic sachets of suspected drugs.
Based on Police Lt. Col. Robert Domingo, chief of Sampaloc Police Station, Castro bought and redistribute drugs seized on buy-bust operations conducted by the authorities.
The alleged drug-queen also invested huge amount of money to build government connections. She even had the guts to give away cars to the officers, Domingo added.
Castro was first arrested in 2001 over illegal possession of drugs however, the case was immediately junked.
Immigration officers also confirmed that Castro left the country and went to Bangkok. Her relatives have denied the allegations against Castro.
The Department of Justice (DoJ) would verify old cases filed against alleged “drug queen” Guia Gomez Castro.
On Thursday, Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra confirmed they will issue an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Board Order (ILBO) against Castro.
Based on information gathered by the justice department, Castro were already facing cases in connection with bouncing checks and drug cases.
DoJ said they will use these cases to issue hold departure order (HDO) against the alleged drug queen.
