As eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao continues his US preparation for his August 21st bout against Errol Spence Jr. back in the Philippines, he faces a political conflict from his party members.

Pacquiao released a statement saying that the harassment is the way of his opponents to share his focus and eventually to lose against Spence.

“I’m sure that’s [what] they want to do. They are trying to distract me. Distract my focus for the figHindi naman tayo pinanganak kahapon lang, Hindi naman tayo natutulog sa pansitan,” he said in an article released by philippinelifestyle.com.

The issue revolves around the PDP-Lapan, in which he is the president.

The party then later announced that they vacated the presidency position as Pacquiao recently went on an exchange with President Rodrigo Duterte over the corruption in the country.
Nonetheless, Pacquiao is trying to carefully deal with his political problems without giving away his focus on his next fight.
