Tulad ng inaasahan sari-saring mga kahilingan at panawagan ang idinulog ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa dalawang kapulungan ng Kongreso kasabaya ng kanyang unang State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Inilatag ng pangulo ang umaabot sa 19 na prayoridad na panukalang batas na malaki umano ang maitutulong sa pagbangon ng ekonomiya na kailangan sa anim na taon na panunungkulan ng kanyang administrasyon.

Isa sa agaw pansin sa “wish list” ni Marcos ay maibalik ang ROTC program bilang mandatory sa senior high school programs (Grades 11 at 12) sa lahat ng public at private tertiary-level educational institutions.

“The aim is to motivate, train, organize and mobilize the students for national defense preparedness, including disaster preparedness and capacity building for risk-related situations,” ani Marcos.
