Nagpakitang gilas si Presidential Son at Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos.

Si Rep. Marcos, ang eldest son ni President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., kung saan nasa 10 House bills ang kaniyang inihain nuong June 30 sa pagsisimula ng 19th Congress.

Kabilang sa mga measures na inihain ng neophyte Congressman ang House Bill (HB) No.1 o ang proposed Government Financial Institutions Unified Initiatives to Distressed Enterprises for Economic Recovery or GUIDE Act.

Ang nasabing panukalang batas ay naglalayon na mag-allocate ng P10 billion sa dalawang state banks para palawakin ang lending lending capacities to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) para maka rekober mula sa epekto ng Covid-19 pandemic.

Si Leyte 1st district Rep. Martin Romualdez, ang presumptive House Speaker ang co-author ng HB No.1.

Ang siyam na iba pang House measures na inihain ni Rep. Marcos ay ang mga sumusunod: HB No.3, ang proposed E-Governance Act; HB No.4, ang Internet Transactions Act; HB No.8, ang Free legal assistance for police and soldiers; at HB No.10 , the creation of the Virology Institute of the Philippines.

Inihain din ng Ilocanong mambabatas ang HB No.11, or the National Defense Act; HB No.12, or Rightsizing the national government; HB No.14, or the SIM Card Registration Act; HB No.18, or the Government Procurement Act; and HB No.20, or the Apprenticeship bill.

Napag-alaman na mentor ni Rep. Marcos si Cong. Romualdez na nagtrabaho bilang bahagi ng kaniyang staff.
Si Cong. Romualdez ay nagsilbing House Majority Leader sa panahon ng 18th Congress.
