ILOILO CITY – Police Regional Office (PRO-6) already sent a thousand cops in different areas in Western Mindanao identified as election ‘hotspot areas’.

In an exclusive interview of Bombo Radyo Iloilo, Police Colonel Joem Malong, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 said, they are expecting that police visibility will maintain peace in the whole region.

Malong added that the augmentation force will also assure the safe delivery of the Vote Counting Machine (VCMs) and other campaign paraphernalia within the area.

“We will be having our ceremonial send off sang aton mga troops para ipaga-deploy sa nagkalain-lain nga lugar sa aton rehiyon”, Malong said.

In Wester Visayas, the Commission on Elections and PNP has identified 40 towns as hotspot area.
