CEBU CITY – The Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 will strengthen its campaign against the use of e-cigarettes or vape in public places.
Central Visayas police on Friday, November 22, confiscated at least 230 vaping devices.
95 vaping devices were seized by Cebu City-Philippine National Police (PNP), while Cebu Provincial Police Office nabbed 74 e-cigarettes.
Lapu-Lapu City confiscated 30 vaping devices, 20 e-cigarettes from Bohol Provincial Police Office, 7 from Mandaue City-PNP, and four vaping devices from Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office.
PRO-7 Director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon warned the public to refrain from using e-cigarettes due to its bad effect on people’s health.
As of now, De Leon is still waiting for PNP Headquarter’s directives involving the next step for the confiscated vaping devices.
