KORONADAL CITY – Authorities arrested a four-member family after a raid conducted by joint forces of 37th Infantry Battalion (IB) of Philippine Army, 603rd Brigade, CIDG-BARMM and Maguindanao-PNP in Maguindanao province resulting to the confiscation of several high-powered firearms.
Police officials identified the suspects as Guiaman Lumbos, Ali Lumbos, Samsudin Lumbos and Digna Lumbos Dirangaren, all residents of Barangay Langkong, Matanog and allegedly members of a lawless group.
Recovered from the suspects were 36 high-powered firearms including 30 improvised sniper rifles, two M-16 assault rifles, one M-203 grenade launcher, an M-14 rifle, one M-1 carbine rifle, one grenade, ammunition and magazines.
Before conducting the raid, suspects were under surveillance by PNP and AFP.
Suspects are facing charges of violating Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
