Humingi ng paumanhin sa pamahalaang lokal ng Davao City si Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong sa pagkakamali na nabanggit nito ang siyudad imbes na ang Davao del Sur kaugnay sa pagsasampa ng kaso laban sa apat na empleyado ng civil registrars na nagbigay ng birth certificates sa ilang Chinese nationals.
Sa isang mensahe sinabi ni Adiong nagkaroon ng typographical error sa kanilang press release na inilabas nuong March 23,2024.
Sinabi ni Adiong ang nasabing pahayag ay may kaugnayan sa pagbibigay ng birth certificates na kinasasangkutan ng apat na empleyado ng municipal civil registrar ng Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur at hindi Davao City.
Dahil sa typographical error lubos na humihingi ng paumanhin si Rep. Adiong na nagdulot ng kalituhan.
“We would like to correct a typographical error in the press release issued on March 23, 2025, titled “House leader welcomes raps vs. 4 Davao civil registrar employees aiding Chinese nationals; should look for similar modus elsewhere.” The statement referred to the alleged issuance of fake birth certificates to Chinese nationals and involved four employees from the municipal civil registrar of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur — not Davao City. We sincerely apologize for the oversight and any confusion it may have caused,” mensahe ni Rep. Adiong.
