Overwhelmed pa rin ang 15-year-old Pinoy singer at The Voice Kids UK four-chair-turner na si Joshua Regala matapos mapansin mismo ng English singer na si Calum Scott ang kanyang blind audition.
Sa exclusive interview ng Star FM Baguio kay Joshua, inilahad nito na idolo niya si Calum kaya naman nito napiling awitin para sa blinds ang kantang “You Are The Reason”.
Nagulat na lamang ito ng ipost ng mismong singer ng hit song at former Britain’s Got Talent finalist sa Instagram account nito ang video ng kanyang audition, at sinabi nitong nabilib ito sa naging performance ng Pinoy.
“I can’t even describe the feeling. Just to have one of my biggest idols to like really recognize me, that’s one in a million. That’s crazy! I’m just really overwhelmed. I was jumping around the house once he reacted to my post. I was so, so happy. I was shocked to be recognized by one of my biggest idols. It’s an amazing experience,” anya ni Regala.
Samantala, itinuturing rin naman ng Ireland-based singer na “very eventful summer” ang nagdaang buwan dahil maliban sa The Voice Kids UK ay naging silver medalist din ito at ang kanyang grupong The Brightlights sa katatapos na World Championships of Performing Arts sa California.
“Everything’s so new, because I’ve never really experienced this much attention and exposure to the world. I was always doing small things here. I enjoyed singing by myself. It’s just amazing. It just came out of nowhere altogether at one time. This summer has been really eventful indeed.”
Nagpasalamat naman ito sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta sa kanya sa kompetisyon at nag-imbitang abangan ang mga susunod na round ng talent show.
“I love you all. Thank you for supporting me since day one. I’m excited about everything. It’s definitely nerve-wracking. Look out for the battle rounds because it’s gonna be like a boxing fight vocally. It’s gonna be really good.”
Sa apat na coaches na umikot para kay Joshua ay napili niyang sumali sa Team ng English singer at actress na si Pixie Lott.
Ipinanganak si Joshua sa Ireland habang tubong Pampanga at Manila ang kanyang mga magulang.
