Umapela si Vickie Marie Rushton na tigilan na ang debate hinggil sa naging resulta ng 2019 Binibining Pilipinas coronation kung saan bigo siyang manalo sa kabila ng pagiging early favorite.
Ayon sa 27-year-old Negros beauty, nagpapasalamat siya sa mga nagtatanggol sa kanya ngunit hangad na mag-move on na ang lahat sa isyu.
“Thank you also to those who continue to defend me. Let us put to rest the issue and we can move on from here. We can be friends even if we had differences. Let’s consider how to uplift one another, support, encourage and pray for each other,” ani Rushton.
Nabatid na mismong si 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Magnayon Gray ay inaming boto siya kay Rushton na makoronahan ngayong taon lalo’t first runner-up na ito sa kanilang batch noong nakaraang taon.
“Who knows? She might make a comeback. I would totally root for her if she was planning to join again,†saad ni Gray.
Maging si 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach ay pinayuhan ang kasintahan ng aktor na si Jason Abalos na huwag susuko sa pangarap nito lalo’t matalino aniya si Rushton.
“My heart also breaks for Vickie. I hope she can try again. I believe this girl is smart. Nerves can happen to even the best of us. It’s not easy to compete. Keep your chin up, Vickie,” ani Wurtzbach.
Una nang inamin ni Rushton na malaki ang kanyang panghihinayang sa naging performance niya dahil pinaghandaan nito ang question and answer portion at alam niya ang kanyang tatalakayin pero na-distract ito sa nag-make face na audience kaya inabutan ng “time’s up” buzzer.
