The Sandiganbayan Third Division entered a “not guilty plea” for former Camarines Sur 1st District Rep. Rolando Andaya in relation to his gradt and malversification of public funds cases.
This came after Andaya refused to file any plea on his scheduled arraignment today.
Andaya, together with other individuals, were accused for allowing Department of Agrarian Reform to give Abundant Harvest for Peoples Foundation Inc., (AHPFI) a total of P10 million worth of allocation when he was the budget secretary on 2019.
The said amount was taken from the controversial P900-million Malampaya funds that was originally for energy projects but were used to support the programs of Malacanang under former Philippine President Gloria-Macapagal Arroyo’s term.
