ILOILO CITY – At least 28 people were confirmed dead and five passengers still missing after three motorized
The boats MB Chi-Chi and Keziah 2 capsized after being hit by strong gusts of wind. Hours after the first incident, pump boat MB Jenny Vince also capsized in the same area.
Chi-Chi had at least 53 passengers while MB Jenny Vince had 34 people on board.
In an exclusive interview of Bombo Radyo with Senior Chief Petty Officer Marlon Buenavista, substation commander of Philippine Coast Guard Dumangas, he confirmed that a total of 96 people were on board the three capsized pump boat.
Bodies were also found inside the boat while others were carried out to the shore of coastal barangays.
