President Rodrigo Duterte has issued a temporary travel ban to all Chinese nationals from Wuhan City – epicenter of novel coronavirus outbreak- and other places in China, said Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go.
The lawmaker said that he personally recommended this idea which the President approved.
Duterte is currently monitoring all concerned agencies in-charge to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
“Nais ko pong ipaalam sa publiko na nakausap ko po si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kanina at inirekomenda ko ang pag-impose ng temporary travel ban upang maprotektahan ang ating mga kababayan sa pagkalat ng Coronavirus,” said Go.
“Sang-ayon po si Pangulo na iimplementa ang temporary travel ban sa mga manggagaling mula Wuhan city and the entire Hubei province ng China.”
The lawmaker also added that Duterte set a meeting next week with medical experts and key government officials to tackle all necessary measures.
