BACOLOD CITY – Fighting senator and eight-division world champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, for the secod time this year, gave money to residents in Bacolod City as he visited the town yesterday.
Despite the scorching heat of the sun, the town people patiently waited for Pacquiao outside Bacolod Government Center.
When the senator arrived, Pacquiao asked everyone to enter BGC and he started giving them P1,000-P2,000 each.
Based on information gathered by Bombo Radyo Bacolod, he gave away a total amount of P4.1 million.
On August 19, Pacquiao also shared his money with his town mates in Sarangani Province.
In a social media post shared by David Sisson, personal assistant of the senator, he shared some photos where the Filipino professional boxer was seen handing out money.
A total of 600 residents from Alabel, Sarangani province received the said blessings from the Pinoy champ.
Pacquiao watched the second homecourt game of Bacolod Master Sardines against Cebu City Sharks in USLS-Bacolod.
He also plans to establish a “Pacman Village” for homeless people in Bacolod.
In a press conference, Pacquiao said the Pacman Village is part of his housing program for people who are in need.
