The very hungry for recognition Oklahoma Thunders simply did what must be done to overpower the Luka Doncic lead Dallas Mavericks for Game 1 of the Western Conference semi-finals.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander, s strong contender for the MVP (as is also Luka Doncik) had 29 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for an all-around game which is just usual for the Canadian NBA star. 11 of his points came from the free throw line to which he was sent a lot of times (13 free throw attempts).

On the other hand, Luka Doncic made only 6 of his 19 attempts in a very frustrating game where much was expected of him and still committing five turnovers.

Dallas’ other superstar Kyrie Irving, shot a respectable 20 points but was not a strong factor in the game. With the Dallas offense sputtering, the least Irving would be doing is to take over the game of which he is capable of. His percentages show what more he can do as he shot 7 of 14 from the field and three 3 pointers from his four attempts.

In the end, despite being outrebounded by Dallas, the Thunders pointed a record 29 assists to show that indeed BASKETBALL WILL ALWAYS BE A TEAM EFFORT!

ALL HAIL TO THE JOKER FOR HIS THIRD MVP!
