The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued Weather Advisory No. 71 , January 2,2025 , 11:00AM , for the shear line, forecasting heavy rainfall across several provinces in Northern Luzon.
Rainfall Forecast:
Today to tomorrow noon (January 3):
• Moderate to Heavy (50-100 mm): Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao
Tomorrow noon to Saturday noon (January 4):
• Heavy to Intense (100-200 mm): Cagayan and Isabela
• Moderate to Heavy (50-100 mm): Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao
Saturday noon to Sunday noon (January 5):
• Heavy to Intense (100-200 mm): Isabela
• Moderate to Heavy (50-100 mm): Cagayan, Aurora, and Apayao
Warnings and Precautions
Rainfall may be more severe in mountainous and elevated areas, with the potential for significant impacts due to accumulated rainfall. Residents are urged to prepare for possible flash floods and landslides.
Disaster risk reduction and management offices are advised to implement measures to ensure public safety. PAGASA will continue issuing localized warnings, including Heavy Rainfall Warnings and Thunderstorm Advisories, as needed.
