The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued Weather Advisory No. 14, warning of heavy rainfall due to the shear line affecting several regions from February 9 to February 12, 2025.
From today until February 10 at noon, moderate to heavy rainfall (50-100 mm) is expected in Quezon, Palawan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, and Northern Samar.
Between February 10 noon and February 11 noon, moderate to heavy rains will continue in Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar.
From February 11 noon to February 12 noon, the affected areas will shift to Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur, where similar rainfall levels are anticipated.
PAGASA warned that rainfall amounts may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas, potentially worsening flooding and landslides, especially in regions that have already experienced significant rainfall.
Authorities urge the public and disaster risk reduction offices to take precautionary measures to safeguard lives and properties as local PAGASA divisions may issue additional heavy rainfall warnings and severe weather advisories as needed.
The next Weather Advisory will be released at 5:00 PM today, unless significant changes occur.
