Kasali na rin ang hilagang bahagi ng Albay sa mga lugar na isinailalim ngayon sa Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 ng PAGASA dahil sa papalapit pang Typhoon Rolly.
Batay sa 11:00pm severe weather bulletin ng ahensya, namataan ang patuloy na paglapit ng bagyo sa Catanduanes. Huling na-monitor ang mata ni “Rolly” sa layong 185-kilometer sa silangan ng Virac.
Bumilis pa ang pagkilos nito pa-kanluran, timog-kanluran sa 25-kilometers per hour. Nananatili naman ang lakas ng hangin nito sa 215-kilometers per hour, at pagbugso sa 265-kilometers per hour.
Kabilang sa mga lugar sa hilagang Albay na kasali sa warning signal ng PAGASA ay ang mga bayan ng: Tiwi, Polangui, Malinao, Tabaco City, Malilipot, Bacacay, Rapu-Rapu.
Nadagdagan naman ang mga bayan sa Camarines Sur na napasali sa listahan tulad ng: Buhi, Iriga City, Baao, Pili, Naga City, Bombon, Calabanga, Ocampo, Sagnay at Tigaon. Habang nananatili rin ang warning sa buong lalawigan ng Catanduanes.
“Violent winds and intense to torrential rainfall associated with the inner rainband-eyewall region will be experienced over (1) Catanduanes tonight through tomorrow morning; (2) Camarines Provinces and the northern portion of Albay including Rapu-Rapu Islands tomorrow early morning through afternoon.”
Patuloy ang paalala ng state-weather bureau sa publiko, lalo na sa mga nakatira malapit sa flood at landslide prone areas na lumikas at mag-ingat.
Bukod sa malakas na ulan at hangin, nagbabala rin ang PAGASA laban sa banta ng daluyong o storm surge sa tabing dagat.
“This storm surge, which may be accompanied by swells and breaking waves reaching the coast can cause life-threatening and damaging coastal inundation.”
Samantala, bahagya namang bumagal ang isa pang weather system na binabantayan sa labas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) na si Tropical Depression “Atsani.” Kumikilos na ito sa bilis na 20-kilometers per hour at inaasahang papasok ng PAR bukas ng hapon bilang si bagyong Siony.
“It remains less likely to affect any portion of the country over the next 2 to 3 days. It is likely to re-intensify into a tropical storm in the next 12 to 24 hours.”
