Lalo pang dumarami ang nakukuhang suporta ni Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco para sa Speakership race matapos na makipagalyansa sa kanya ang apat na major blocs sa Kamara.
Lumagda sa manifesto of support kay Velasco ay sina Pampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales Jr., ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban); Rizal Rep. John Duavit, at Valenzuela Rep. Wes Gatchalian ng Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC); Party-list coalition President Michael Romero; at Rep. Kristine Singson-Meeham ng Northern Luzon Alliance.
Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Pampanga 4th District Representative Juan Pablo Bondoc, miyembro ng PDP-Laban, na ang apat na bloc ay binubuo ng nasa 180 kongresista.
Nakasaad sa manifesto na naniniwala ang apat na major blocs na si Velasco ay ang “best choice” para mamuno sa Kamara dahil sa “experience, competence, and strong camaraderie†nito sa mga kapwa niya mambabatas.
“We are firmly convinced that Representative Lord Allan Jay Q. Veasco is imbued with the leadership qualities to steer and unite the entire House of Representatives in the passage of crucial legislative reforms in support of the legislative agenda of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in order to safeguard the country’s economic gains and social progress,†bahagi ng naturang manifesto.
