Unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr., hints on returning to the boxing ring this September with Danny Garcia as the front-runner.
The IBF and WBC title-holder last fought in September 2019 where he beat Shawn Porter to keep his record unblemished.
Days after the victory, horror came knocking behind Spence as he went on a solo car crash.
The 30-year old Spence was supposed to come back this August before the coronavirus pandemic occured after miraculously surviving the incident.
On the other hand, Garcia was fresh from his dominating victory against Ivan Redkach in bid to cash a next fight with the Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.
However, if WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, Garcia vs Spence is the fight to happen simply because Garcia is the mandatory title challenger for the WBC belt.
“Danny Garcia, he’s a very, you know, tough fighter. You know, he’s a guy [who has] accomplished a lot in the sport of boxing. And that’s a fight that really makes sense, so I mean, it’s a fight that can definitely happen next,” Spence said.
