Ibinaba na ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) sa Alert Level 2 ang status ng nag-alburutong bulkang Taal.
Batay sa inilabas na advisory ng ahensya, ipinaliwanag ng mga eksperto na tuluyang nabawasan ang mga volcanic earthquake activity ng bulkan.
Bukod dito, huminto na raw ang ground deformation sa Caldera at mismong Taal volcano island; gayundin na humina na ang pagbuga ng steam/gas sa main crater.
Mula noong January 26 ay nakakapagtala ng 141 volcanic earthquakes kada araw ang Taal Volcano Network.
Sa recorded “significant events” naman ng Philippine Seismic Network ay may naitalang 127 volcanic earthquakes na may magnitude 1.4 hanggang 4.3 sa buong Taal region.
“The number of and energy of tremor and low-frequency events associated with activity in the shallow magma and hydrothermal region beneath the Taal Volcano island edifice have also diminished,” ayon sa Phivolcs bulletin.
“These parameters are consistent with degassing ponded magma rather than active magma transport to and from the magma reservoir beneath the volcano island.”
