The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed that Fredderick Brennan, creator of online message board forum 8chan, went to Camp Crame and expressed his willingness to cooperate in the investigation.

Brennan was accompanied by his lawyer at the office of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group on Friday. The 8chan founder moved to the Philippines in 2014 in order to avail more affordable medical assistance.

“Mr. Brennan expressed his willingness to cooperate in the PNP probe. The investigation is still ongoing and updates will be made once we get substantial results,” PNP spokesperson Pol. B/Gen. Bernard Banac said in a statement.

PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde ordered the ACG to conduct an investigation in connection with the suspect from the shooting incident in El Paso, Texas used the said messaging forum to post his four-page manifesto on 8chan hours before perpetrating the attack.
