Nagbigay patikim sa kanyang upcoming music project para sa susunod na taon ang The Voice US 2019 finalist at Filipino pride na si Jej Vinson.
Sa exclusive interview ng Star FM Baguio kay Jej, inamin nito na naantala man ngayong taon ang ilan sa kanyang mga music plans ay excited na itong iparinig ang kanyang mga ginagawang kanta sa darating na 2021.
“I’ve just been busy writing my songs. Excited na ako kasi meron akong project na ire-release by 2021 hopefully. I’m writing a lot right now with many people. Hopefully, by 2021, if everything goes as planned, I’m gonna have a small album. I’m so excited to release more original music. The last time I released, that was last year pa. This will be exciting.”
Samantala, inalala rin ng 23-year-old California-based singer ang kanyang naging experience bilang bahagi ng team ni Kelly Clarkson sa Season 16 ng The Voice US. Inilarawan niya rin bilang second mom ang three-time Grammy winning singer.
“Si Kelly, parang second mom ko na ‘yun eh. That was awesome— working with her. She’s so genuine. The same Kelly Clarkson you see on TV is the same Kelly Clarkson behind the scenes. Andami niyang [tinuro sa akin] when it comes to the music industry.”
Ibinahagi rin naman ni Jej ang ilan sa mga singers na nais niya pang makatrabaho.
Matatandaang noong Pebrero ay bumalik sa bansa ang binata para magtanghal sa isang special concert kasama ang Asia’s Phoenix na si Morisette.
“Morisette was awesome. I would say the other person I would love to work with is Ms. Kyla. I loved her since I was growing up. Also, Mr. Jay R. I would just love to work with them if I have the chance. Erik Santos and Sarah G, too. Kapag internationally, Tori Kelly and H.E.R. Those two artists are definitely the people that if I got to collaborate with them, then I can say that I’ve made it.”
May mensahe rin naman ito sa lahat ng mga Pilipinong nangangarap na mapansin sa ibang bansa at maipakita sa international stage ang kanilang talento.
“So many talents sa Philippines. If you wanna do something in life and you’re really passionate about it, the only thing that’s gonna stop you is yourself, and there’s nothing impossible if you have faith in God and if you let Him lead the way. Work your hardest if you really want this dream.”
Lubos rin itong nagpasalamat sa lahat ng mga patuloy na sumusuporta sa kanyang musical career simula ng mag audition ito sa hit reality search sa US.
“To everyone’s who’s supported me, maraming-maraming salamat. It’s been more than a year now since my run on The Voice, pero I still hear and see a lot of messages from so many fans from the Philippines. I owe it to you guys because I grew up there. I wouldn’t be able to sing like this if it wasn’t for karaoke, if it wasn’t for the culture in the Philippines. I promise you, I’m working on music right now, so if you’re waiting on some original music, marami on the way. I’m so excited for what’s to come.”
Tubong Davao si Jej at lumipat sila ng kaniyang pamilya sa Estados Unidos noong siya ay 15 years old.
