Dinepensahan ng Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) ang desisyon ng North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation na taasan ang toll rates ng Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX.
Iginiit ni MPIC Vice Pres. Melody del Rosario na higit walong taon ng walang pagbabago sa presyo ng toll ng SCTEX sa kabila ng pagmahal ng gastusin.
Bukod dito, maraming improvements na rin daw ang ginawa ng Bases Conversion and Development Authority sa naturang imprastuktura para mapaayos ang serbisyo sa mga motorista.
Sa ilalim ng toll hike, may dagdag ng P20 sa ibabayaad ng mga Class 1 na sasakyan; P40 naman sa Class 2; habang P60 sa mga Class 3.
“Although SCTEX toll rates have remained at 2011 levels, infrastructure improvements along the 94-kilometer tollway have continued,†ani Del Rosario.
