SEOUL – Natanggap na ng North Korea ang birthday greetings ni U.S. President Donald Trump sa kanilang lider na si Kim Jong-un.
Pero sa pahayag na inilabas ng state news agency na KCNA, hindi raw babalik si Kim sa negotiation table upang pag-usapan ang denuclearization ng Pyongyang.
Ayon kay Kim Kye Gwan, adviser sa North Korean foreign ministry, bagama’t maganda ang relasyon nina Kim at Trump, hindi raw nito pinamumunuan ang kanilang bansa na nakabase lamang sa kanyang nararamdaman.
“Although Chairman Kim Jong Un has a good personal feelings about President Trump, they are, in the true sense of the word, ‘personal,'” wika ni Kim.
“We have been deceived by the United States, being caught in the dialogue with it for over one year and a half, and that was the lost time for us.”
Hindi rin daw tatalakayin ng North Korea ang mga mungkahi kagaya ng kay Trump noong huli nitong summit sa North Korean leader sa Hanoi noong Pebrero 2019.
Hindi rin daw isusuko ng Pyongyang ang kanilang nuclear facilities para sa partial sanctions relief, at makikipagnegosasyon lamang silang muli sakaling gumawa na ng concessions ang Estados Unidos.
“The reopening of dialogue between the DPRK and the US may be possible only under the condition of the latter’s absolute agreement on the issues raised by the former, but we know well that the US is neither ready nor able to do so,” anang opisyal. (Reuters)
