Naniniwala ang Malacañang na ikakaasar at ikakasama na naman ng loob ng mga kritiko at oposisyon ang nakuhang 80 percent satisfaction rating ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa pinakabagong Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesmam Salvador Panelo, habang patuloy na sinisiraan ng mga kritiko si Pangulong Duterte, lalo siyang pinagkakatiwalaan ng taongbayan.
Ayon kay Sec. Panelo, kung gaano katindi ang atake ng mga makakaliwa kay Pangulong Duterte, tumitindi rin ang paghanga sa kanya ng mga mamamayan.
Pero inihayag ni Sec. Panelo na hindi pa naman huli ang lahat para sa mga kritiko at maaari nilang lunukin ang kanilang pride para yakapin ang panawagan ni Pangulong Duterte na pagkakaisa para sa ikabubuti ng bayan.
“Here we are again. The increasing satisfaction rating of the President is getting to be a habitual vexing news to the critics, detractors and the opposition. The more they hit PRRD with dirt, the more people trust him. The more the Left assault him with a torrent of false narratives, the greater our people admire him,” ani Sec. Panelo.
“But all is not lost to these incorrigible political adversaries and religious bigots. They can swallow their pride and embrace the President’s call for unity for the betterment of the nation.
