Inisyuhan ng preventive suspension ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ang dalawang programa ng Sonshine Media Network International.
Kabilang sa mga ito ang “Gikan Sa Masa, Para Sa Masa” kung saan lumalabas si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at host naman si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Suspendido rin ang “Laban Kasama ang Bayan” dahil sa mga paglabag na nakita, matapos ang ginawang review ng MTRCB.
Kabilang sa sinasabing violations ng programang “Gikan Sa Masa, Para Sa Masa” ang umano’y death threat na binanggit sa loob ng palatuntunan.
Lumabas naman noong Nobyembre 30, 2023 ang mga reklamo laban sa programang “Laban Kasama ang Bayan” kung saan isinahimpapawid umano ang walang basehang impormasyon na gumastos ng P1.8 billion travel funds si House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
“Upon careful review and consideration of recent events and complaints received by the Board, it was found that certain aspects of the abovementioned programs may have violated the established guidelines and standards set by Presidential Decree No. 1986 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations governing broadcasting content. To prevent the possible repetition of these alleged infractions which may pose a negative impact on public welfare, ethical considerations, and the overall reputation of the broadcasting industry, the Board determined the need to preventively suspend the subject program/s by virtue of Section 3, Chapter XIII of the IRR of P.D. No. 1986,” saad ng MTRCB order.
Dahil dito, kalahating buwan na hindi maaaring sumahimpapawid ang nasabing programa, kaakibat ng mga direktiba ng MTRCB na kailangang iwasto ng SMNI ang naturang mga pagkakamali.
“The MTRCB emphasizes that said order of preventive suspension is a proactive measure aimed at addressing concerns and ensuring compliance with established standards which shall be in effect for fourteen (14) days, during which SMNI is expected to address and rectify the identified issues,” dagdag pa ng MTRCB.
