After blowing a 3-1 series lead against the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs held at the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, the Los Angeles Clippers parted ways with head coach Doc Rivers.

Taking up what’s left is former Cleveland Cavaliers tactician Tyronn Lue.

The Clippers officially announced that Lue will be the new head coach of the squad which have superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Lue is not new in handling superstars or dynamic duo as he formerly coached LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Cleveland where he won a title in 2016.

However, his luck seems to run out after James and departed.

Lue just won one game and was replaced.

He then became the assistant coach of the Clippers. The expectations were high for the other half of the LA team in the previous season as they were the favorite to win the championship but exited in the second round.

Lue now has to do what Rivers failed to achieve, win another title.

The Clippers are full of very good defensive players in every position. Chemistry is what they are lacking.

It is indeed a daunting task especially after their half-brother the Los Angeles Lakers took home the Larry O’Brien trophy led by their superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Can Ty Lue lives up to the expectation?
