May halong pagdududa sa panig ng U.S intelligence sa tunay na pakay ng ni North Korean leader Kim Jong Un kasunod ng pagsipot nito sa imbitasyon ni U.S President Donald Trump para sa isang “hand-shake” summit sa demilitarized zone o DMZ.
“We still continue to assess within the I.C. that Kim Jong Un is not ready to denuclearize,” saad ni Defense Intelligence Agency Director Robert Ashley Jr.
Aniya, misyon ng kanilang ahensya na siguraduhin ang katotohanan para sa kanilang mga nasasakupan.
“For the policymakers and for the senior decision makers, our job is to make sure that we’re able to tell them what is happening, because they may go into a negotiation and hear something, but we able to get them as much ground truth as possible which gives them leverage and advantage,” ani Ashley.
Dagdag pa ni Ashley, halata umanong hindi pa handa ang North Korea na tuluyan nang isuko ang kanilang nuclear weapons.
