Sa gitna ng worldwide outbreak ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bubuksan ng Estados Unidos ang kanilang pintuan para sa mga medical professionals na nais tumulong para masugpo ang pagkalat ng sakit sa Amerika.
Naglabas ng anunsyo ang Bureau of Consular Affairs ng US Department of State kung saan nanghihikayat sila ng medical professionals na nais mag-trabaho sa Amerika na agad makipag-ugnayan sa pinaka-malapit na Embahada para sa visa appointment.
Para naman sa mga foreign medical professionals na nasa US na ngayon at nais mag-extend ng kanilang visa kailangan lang daw sundin ang proseso:
“J-1 Alien Physicians (medical residents) may consult with their program sponsor, ECFMG, to extend their programs in the United States. Generally, a J-1 program for a foreign medical resident can be extended one year at a time for up to seven years.”

Sa kasalukuyan, Amerika na ang bansang may pinakaraming kaso ng COVID-19 na ngayon ay higit 85,000 na.
Higit 1,300 naman na ang kanilang naitalang death cases, habang 1,800 na ang gumaling.
