Binawi ng Vatican ang immunity ng kanilang envoy sa France na kasalukuyang iniimbestigahan dahil sa reklamong sexual assault.
Kinumpirma ng French government na natanggap nila ang kumpirmasyon ng Holy See na binawi nila ang immunity ni Archbishop Luigi Ventura.
Ayon naman sa interim director ng Vatican press office na si Alessandro Gisotti, ipinakita raw ng pasya ang commitment ni Ventura na makipag-ugnayan sa mga otoridad sa imbestigasyon.
“This is an extraordinary gesture that confirms the will of the Nuncio (ambassador), expressed from the beginning of this situation, to collaborate fully with the French judicial authorities,” wika ni Gisotti.
Una nang sinabi ni Paris deputy mayor Patrick Klugman, hinipuan umano ni Ventura ang isang junior male official na nagtatrabaho sa city hall. (CNN)
