The sports analysts graded San Antonio center Victor Wembanyama weak especially in shooting on perimeter. Among those analysts is the Bleacher Report who graded him with C after their defeat vs Clippers last November 23, 2023.
Wembanyama already played 15 games as a rookie including the clash vs Clippers recently with the score of 102 – 109 in favor of Los Angeles Clippers.
It can be recalled that Phoenix Suns power forward Kevin Durant challenged Wemby on the perimeter last November 3, 2023 but to no avail.
“I’m just gonna play hard and contest, man. You gonna foul him or he’s just gonna make the shot. His misses are all on him.” Durant exclaimed when asked about Wemby’s performance on the perimeter.
Bleacher Report gave the rookie with the following grades : Passing/Ball-Handling: B ; Rebounding: B+ ; Interior Defense: A+ ; Perimeter Defense: A- ; Interior Scoring: A- and lastly, Perimeter Scoring: C-.
Analysts said that this is still a good start for Wemby compared to Lebron James.
As of this writing, Wemby’s team is about to play with the Golden State Warriors.
