On Wednesday, July 19, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte attended the distribution of Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) funds to Mayon-affected families in Albay province. The said family made the decision not to stay inside the evacuation camps in order to maintain their source of income, which is located within the permanent danger zones.
A total of Php 9,987,300.00 was distributed by the DSWD Bicol Regional Office to about 405 ECT recipients in the municipalities of Daraga (351 beneficiaries), Sto. Camalig (14), Tabaco City (1), and Domingo (42). Each family received Php 24,660.00, which is equivalent two (2) tranches of the financial aid.
