The Golden State Warriors sent a mean statement to the Memphis Grizzlies after their dominating, 123-109, victory on Christmas day.
The defending champs without Stephen Curry still cooked Memphis with Jordan Poole leading the attack with 32 points before getting ejected after receiving his second technical foul in the fourth quarter.
Six Warriors got T’d up in the game including Klay Thompson who stared down Dillon Brooks after a bucket.
Both squads were already beefing ever since their playoff series last season, the war of words continued up to the final week before Christmas and it was Golden State who had the last laugh this time.
Thompson scored 24 points to back up Poole while four more players scored in double-digits.
Ja Morant dropped 36 points on his signature shoe debut but wasn’t enough to carry Memphis as Brooks scored only 13 markers.
