After winning four championships, Warriors General Manager Bob Myers decided to step down in the position he held for 11 years.

“This is tough, this is hard. I have so many different things, emotions that I’m still processing. But the bottom line is this job, the one I’m in, I would say this for any professional general manager or coach, requires complete engagement, complete effort, 1000%,” he said in his announcement.

“If you can’t do it, then you shouldn’t do it. That’s the answer to the question of why.”

Myers remains unsure on what’s next for him but he assured that basketball will stay in his blood.

He is considered one of the most successful executives in the current era after putting the Golden State Warriors back in the map of the NBA and becoming one of the most beloved teams in the league.
