Inamin ni Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr na mistulang nasa “offseason mode” na ang kanilang koponan.
Ito’y habang umaasa ang liderato ng NBA na maipagpapatuloy pa nila ang 2019-20 season na sinuspinde muna dahil sa banta ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Ayon kay Kerr, sumailalim na raw siya at ang kanyang coaching staff sa evaluations, at bumabalangkas na rin daw sila ng plano para sa offseason.
Sinabi pa ng Warriors mentor, habang ang ibang mga teams ay pinipilit na mag-focus sakaling ituloy ang season, naka-move on na raw sila lalo pa’t laglag na sila sa contention, hawak ang kulelat na 15-50 kartada.
“It’s different for us because we were down to 17 games, but we were out of the playoffs,” wika ni Kerr. “It feels like the end of the season for our team. It just does.
“We don’t know anything officially. There’s still a chance the league could ask us to come back and play some games, but given what we went through this season with all the injuries and the tough record, it’s been more of the case of we’re staying in touch with guys, but everybody is just sort of assuming that this is kind of it. We’re not going to be involved much anymore.”
Bago ito, inanunsyo ng NBA na papayagan nila ang mga teams na muling buksan ang kanilang mga pasilidad sa Mayo 8, ngunit may ipapatupad na mga limitasyon.
