Hindi umano apektado ang Golden State Warriors kahit na hindi makakalaro sa Game 1 ang isa sa kanilang mga star players na si Kevin Durant.

Ayon kay Warriors forward Draymond Green, bukod sa kanilang depensa at sa three-point shooting ng Splash Brothers duo na sina Stephen Curry at Klay Thompson, malaki rin ang papel na gagampanan ng kanilang mga reserves.

Paliwanag pa ni Green, ang kanilang mga reserve players ay isa sa mga pangunahing rason kung bakit naglista ng 5-0 kartada ang Warriors noong playoffs kahit wala si Durant.

“We have a bunch of guys committed to winning,” wika ni Green. “No matter what bump in the road we hit, we know what the goal is. When you have that kind of commitment, great things happen.”

Samantala, tinawag naman ni Golden State coach Steve Kerr si Green na “a wrecking ball out there, destroying everything in his path.”

Maging ang efforts ni 23-year-old backup center Kevon Looney ay pinuri rin ni Kerr at binansagan pang “foundational piece” at “cornerstone” ng Warriors sa payoffs mula nang lumiban si Durant.

“We’re going to rely on him in the finals,” ani Kerr. “He’s a hell of a player.”
