It was an eventful final day of the regular season in the NBA as the wild West race officially came to a close.
First off, the defending champions Golden State Warriors avoided the play-in tournament after tormenting the already eliminated Portland Trail Blazers by 56 points, 157-101.
The win gave the Warriors the sixth spot that set up a first-round meeting with the Sacramento Kings.
Along with it and the assist from the LA Clippers’ win, the Lakers were sent to the play-in.
However, they are in a better spot in the play-in at number seven in which they will face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
LeBron James had a spectacular game with 36 points for the Lakers as they begin the next chapter of the post-season on Wednesday.
Lastly, Udonis Haslem played a historic game for the Miami Heat as they honored him for his final regular season game of his career.
The 42-year old veteran dropped 24 points including three triples and a slam dunk en route to Miami’s 123-110 victory over the Orlando Magic.
His first quarter output of 13 points matched his best quarter output of his career.
